Graffiti, Johannesburg Style

I need to find out what the graffiti laws are here--not that I plan to go out at night with a variety of spray cans, but because there is a lot of really beautiful graffiti here. It just doesn't seem that the artists could create murals as beautiful as the ones I've seen if they were having to dodge the very serious Johannesburg police as they worked. These are just a few examples. There are other great examples but we have not been lucky enough to be traveling at a speed that would enable me to photograph them. Some of these, in fact, are a little blurry because of that, but you can get the idea.
